The Skeletool CX has a big knife sword that can be got at while the tool is unopen; to open them, simply place your thumb in the thumbhole at the base of the blade and go around it out until it is fully extended — which will engage the safe lock. This locking mechanism is noted with a padlock symbol on the tool. To unlock the sword, press the locking mechanism toward the handle until the sword slides past the lock in.
